RedDoor Live is an Indian & Cowboy original web series shot in Six Nations at “Thru The RedDoor” studio and it gives an intimate, stripped down performance of Indian Country’s emerging stars – we are proud to present our first episode of RedDoor Live with Nick Sherman.
In the day of musical gimicks, viral such and such, and cookie cutter copy cat acts, we wanted to steer away from that and give you music straight from the hearts of the artists we love to amplify their work and perhaps help clear a path to you.
His hit podcast series, Knives & Wildrice, was a hit on our network in 2015. Nick continues to tour and make new music and is expecting to release a new album in the new year.
ABOUT NICK SHERMAN
Singer-songwriter, Nick Sherman, gives new meaning to “the voice in the wilderness,” or rather, the voice from the wilderness. While he still calls his rural birthplace of Sioux Lookout home, Sherman spent much of his youth out on the land, moving between his hometown, the small First Nation community of Weagamow Lake, and his family’s trapline on North Caribou Lake. It was here in the depths of the Northern Ontario forest that his family members would play guitar as they tended their trapline, and Nick found himself soaking in songs and lyrics.
