In this episode of Stories From The Land we bring you to Yellowknife during the Stories From The Land National Tour to share the stories of Hovak Johnston.

Hovak is a multidisciplinary artist that has created the Inuit Tattoo Revitilization Project, a project in the North that is committed to the revitilization of traditional forms of Inuit tattooing.

We are producing this episode in solidarity with the Traditional Indigenous Tattoo Gathering happening at Nimki Aazhibikong on September 29/30, 2017.

This episode is co-produced with Red Man Laughing. We both loved these stories/interviews so much, we wanted to post them in both of these podcasts’ feeds.
